NeedDescription
Composting: help keep the 'Green' in Green Lake!   A Green Lake parent started the composting program at GLES, and now we need another parent to take over the management of this successful program. The kids themselves are very well versed at composting, and recycling. The parent volunteer would need to periodically check in with teachers and stock the supplies, etc. It's an important but easy way to contribute to our great school!
Box Tops GLES has a cereal boxtop program, which collects cereal and other food product boxtops for redemption by the manufacturer. It's yet another simple way to earn cash $$ for Green Lake. If you have a little time to spare, this would be an easy project.
Staff Appreciation Staff appreciation is in May, and at GLES we have a month of appreciation featuring catered lunches and morning coffee, surprise treats for the teachers and staff. We organize the month by grade or classrooms, with specific groups each taking a week. It's really fun and the teachers love it. If you are interested in helping out with this or even taking it over, Karen Simone could teach you everything you need to know.
Reader board We have a great reader board in front that really catches your attention as you pass the school. It helps inform us all of the current events at the school. If you are interested in taking over the reader board duties next year, let us know! Carol could show you her special system or you could devise your own!
