It's happening! The Walk-and-Rollathon is right around the corner! It will be a little different this year, but equally as awesome! This is a big fundraiser and community builder and we hope all families can be involved.
WHAT: GLES Walk-and-Rollathon Dragon Hunt WHEN: Monday October 5- Sunday October 11, with a kick off where your child can pick up their t shirt and info packet on Saturday October 3. *details to follow* HOW: With a spirit of adventure, fun and safety! Your family will receive one printed and named dragon per child. They will decorate that dragon and hang in a visible place in the GLES boundary OR along the Green Lake walking path. This could be on a utility pole, on your dog (during walks, of course), in your window or anywhere that is appropriate and can be spotted by passersby. Starting Oct. 5, you can run, saunter, jog, walk, ride your bike, or use your wheelchair to hunt as many dragons as you can! We ask in the spirit of sportspersonship that you don't use a horse or a car. This year we ARE allowing bikes! We also ask that you don't go out in groups of more than your family, wear a mask and wave hello to others you pass at a distance of 6 feet or more on your quest. WHY: To promote health, community and to raise money for the amazing GLES PTA. The PTA supports enrichment programs, supplemental staff and instructional assistance, among MANY other things. Supporters of our school can donate per dragon recorded or a flat amount. The link to the pledge page can be found here. If you would like to help, please reach out. I could use volunteers for preparation (packet stuffing) and on the Saturday of kick off. email development@greenlakedragons.org if you can help. Comments are closed.
