Meet the PTA Board
The Green Lake Elementary PTA is led by a team of parent and caregiver volunteers who partner with staff to support our students and community. The Board meets monthly to plan programs, manage the budget, coordinate volunteers, and keep our community connected.
Executive Committee
President

Leads the PTA, runs Board and General Meetings, partners with staff and families, and helps guide the overall direction of the organization.
Incoming President

Supports the President this year and prepares to step into the role next year.
Incoming Secretary

Takes minutes at all meetings, maintains PTA records, and keeps documentation organized and accessible.
We are seeking an Incoming Secretary to train this year as Remy transitions into the President role next year.
Treasurer

Manages the PTA’s finances, writes checks, tracks the budget, and provides financial reports.
Committee Chairs
These volunteers lead committees and help coordinate the work that keeps our community connected and supported.
Community Connections Chair
Plans and organizes events that bring families together and supports committee members as needed.
Advocacy Chair
Monitors district, state, and federal education issues and helps our community take action when needed.
Social Justice & Equity Chair
Leads equity‑focused initiatives and maintains our connection with Rising Star Elementary.
Teacher Support & Room Parent Coordinator
Recruits and supports Room Parents, helps with communication, and strengthens classroom‑level community.
Development Chair
Supports all fundraising activities and helps bring our biggest events to life.
New Families Liaison
Welcomes new families, leads tours, answers questions, and helps everyone feel at home at GLES.
BLT Representative
Serves as a liaison between the PTA and school leadership (this is special — not all PTAs are welcomed by their BLT!).
Teacher Representatives
John Leahy(he/him)
Serve as liaisons between the PTA and the teaching staff, ensuring teacher voices are heard and supported.
Program Leads
These volunteers run ongoing PTA programs that support students and families throughout the year.
Enrichment Coordinator
Runs the after‑school enrichment programs by coordinating vendors, schedules, and communication.
Swim Program Coordinator
Oversees the logistics of the GLES swim program by coordinating the classes and recruiting volunteers
Garden Coordinators
Daniel Sensenderfer(he/him)
Oversees care for the school garden and organizes opportunities for students and families to learn and participate.
Weekly Grocery Program
Coordinates weekly grocery support for GLES families.
Spirit Wear
Manages spirit wear orders and helps families show their GLES pride throughout the year.
STEM Fair
Organizes the annual STEM Fair by recruiting volunteers to run hands‑on tables and coordinating day‑of activities.
Event Leads
These volunteers coordinate seasonal events that bring our community together.
Tree Sale Lead
Manage the annual Tree Sale by ordering inventory, keeping the lot stocked, and coordinating volunteers throughout the event.
Auction Co‑Chairs
Jen Seibert (she/her)
Lead the large auction committee, coordinating volunteers and logistics from procurement through event night to ensure a smooth, successful fundraiser.
Field Day Coordinator
Organizes Field Day activities and works with staff and volunteers to create a fun school‑wide celebration.
Teacher Appreciation
Plans Teacher Appreciation Week by organizing daily treats and activities, coordinating room parent gifts, and ensuring all teaching staff are celebrated.
Digital Communications Team
These roles support the PTA’s communication channels, digital tools, and online community spaces.
Website Administrator
Maintains the PTA website, updates content, manages structure, and supports ongoing communication needs.
Discord Administrator
Helps moderate and maintain the PTA’s community Discord server.
Facebook Administrator
Approves member requests, posts updates, and keeps the community informed.
Reader Board Lead
Keeps the reader board updated and fun.
