This Year’s Play: Charlotte's Web 

Performance Dates: April 29^th, 30^th, and May 1^st 2027

3^rd - 5^th Grade Students (Acting Roles)

To have a speaking part in the play you must do the following:

1. Fill out the registration form (link coming soon)
• December 1^st: 5^th grade students only
• December 7^th: 4^th-5^th grade students
• December 8^th: 3^rd-5^th grade students
2. Fee: $500 (scholarships available, contact Ms. Schneider or PTA enrichment coordinator)
3. Submit video audition by December 18^th. Note: Act Up is offering an audition class as a Fall enrichment program that will help you film and submit your audition
4. Attend in-person callback auditions on Tuesday January 5^th and Thursday January 7^th from 3:30-5:00 pm
5. Students must be available for all rehearsals (unless previous arrangements have been made).
• Regular rehearsals will meet every Tuesday and Thursday (when school is in session), starting January 12^th, from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Cafeteria.
• Tech/dress week rehearsals are every day the week of April 26^th to May 1^st, also in the Cafeteria.

Everyone who signs up will get a part.

K - 3^rd Grade Students (Chorus/Ensemble)

We will be taking 12 younger students to be the Chorus and play "Baby Spiders" and "Crowd Spectators/Fairgoers". Priority will go to students signed up for Act Up's enrichment drama class during the Winter Session where they will learn acting fundamentals

• Registration opens on March 30^th (link coming)
• Fee: $150 (scholarships available, contact Ms. Schneider or PTA enrichment coordinator)
• Join the cast for regular rehearsals on April 20^th and April 22^nd
• Join full cast during dress rehearsal week April 26^th through May 1^st

Not an Actor? In 3^rd-5^th grade? Still want to be part of the fun?

This year, our Stage Manager, Ashleigh, will take on two or three 3^rd-5^th grade "interns" to help with behind-the-scenes rehearsal and performance needs (helping actors with lines, moving sets, creating props and costumes, etc). If interested, contact goldkerrproductions@gmail.com, and registration info will be sent to you. Interns can attend Tuesday, Thursday, or both days (fee depends on how often they attend). Runs January 5^th through May 1^st.

Other ways to get involved

We view every one of our productions as a community event and want as many people as possible to get involved and have fun. I started directing this program years before I had a kid in the play and have continued to do it even after my kids left GLES. This is the same case for many other parents who love theater and want to be part of something creative. There are many ways to support the play: sets, costumes, makeup , props, lighting, music, baking, cleaning, sewing, shopping, and watching!

• Join our Family Set and Prop making workshop in February
• Help move sets or do hair and makeup the week of April 26^th - May 1^st
• Work on a costume, set, or prop project on your own at home
• Make something fun and tasty for the concessions at the performances
• Come see the show!
