Events at Green Lake Elementary

Green Lake Elementary has a full calendar of community‑building events, school‑day experiences, and PTA fundraisers. Some events happen during the school day with PTA support; others take place after school or on weekends and bring the whole community together. Below is an overview of what’s happening this year.

Fundraising Events

These events raise essential funds for PTA‑supported programs such as staff positions, enrichment, classroom supplies, and community support.

Dragon Hunt

A tradition that began during the pandemic and became so wildly popular that we’ve kept it every year. Students receive a t‑shirt, an envelope with tracking sheets, and a uniquely named dragon to decorate and display somewhere visible within the GLES boundary or along the Green Lake path. Kids search for each other’s dragons and track what they find, with prizes awarded at the end. Families get incredibly creative with dragon placement!
