Our annual gala and auction is THE fundraising event of the year, and our PTA works hard to make it a party you'll never forget!
Come enjoy an adults‑only evening filled with good food, good friends, and a full range of opportunities to support our school. Financial assistance is available to ensure all community members who wish to participate can do so.

What to Expect
The Auction & Gala is a lively, community building evening with dinner, drinks, desserts, and multiple ways to participate. This year, we’re also adding an online auction leading up to the main event, so everyone can join in whether you’re attending in person or not. Get your bids placed before it closes on March 25!
The Auction evening typically includes:
- Silent Auction: Browse items early in the evening and place written bids. Bidding closes before dinner, and the highest bid wins.
- Buy It Now Wall: Gift cards and small‑denomination items available at face value. See something you like? Grab it and it’s yours.
- Wine Toss: Buy three chances to win a bottle of wine to take home.
- Party Sign‑Ups: Year‑round parent and kid parties hosted by GLES families. Spots go fast! Past parties have included Green Lake Rocks (parent/teacher bands), Luaus, Mom’s Margaritas, Kids Karaoke, and more.
- Raffle: Low‑cost tickets for a chance at bigger‑ticket items.
- Live Auction: A fast‑paced, high‑energy auction led by a professional auctioneer featuring vacation homes, group dinners, experiences, and class art.
- Dessert Dash: Tables compete to claim first pick from a selection of delicious desserts donated by GLES families.
- Raise the Paddle: A direct‑donation moment supporting a specific need identified by the PTA Board each year.

Auction FAQ
Who can attend? Can I bring my children?
The Auction & Gala is a 21+ event. Parents, caregivers, grandparents, alumni, and incoming GLES families are all welcome.
Do I have to spend a lot of money?
Not at all. Items range from $10 raffle tickets to $1,000+ live auction items like original art or vacation getaways. There are opportunities at every price point, and attending the event itself is a meaningful way to support our community.
If cost is a barrier, please reach out to the PTA President. We will do our best to reduce or waive the cost of your ticket.
What kinds of items will be auctioned?
A wide variety, including:
- restaurant gift cards
- professional services
- classes and camps
- themed baskets
- local business donations
- vacation homes
- group dinners and experiences
- class art projects
There truly is something for everyone.
How does the money get used?
Funds raised at the Auction & Gala support essential PTA‑funded programs, including:
- additional instructional staff
- after school enrichment programs
- library resources
- swimming lessons
- community events
- special projects and school improvements
These funds directly enhance the educational experience for every GLES student.
What if I can’t attend?
You can still make a meaningful impact. Consider:
- making a direct donation
- participating in the silent auction online
- supporting Raise the Paddle
- donating wine for the wine toss
Every contribution helps sustain the programs our students rely on, you don’t have to spend a lot to make a meaningful impact.
